The electromechanical curtain drive consists of several blocks: a cable connected by an endless loop. A horizontal bypass block with one groove is installed at one end of the curtain. On the other – two single-groove blocks with a common axis. The third block or drive drum is attached below – near the stage board. An endless draft is passed through all the blocks, which is firmly attached to the first (counting from the center) rings or carriages of each part of the curtain. Both traction lines perform oppositely directed movement, closing or opening the curtain. The curtain is attached to the leading rods after both of its halves are completely behind each other, i.e. in the closed state. This ensures synchronization and uniformity of scene overlap.
